Safety Sole Stockings

The stockings with the famous Safety Sole. Also with antimicrobial fabric, huge range of shapes and sizes and bright colour coding system.

Latest Advance –The Safety Sole Postoperative patients are at high risk of slipping and falling, this being exacerbated by the increasing age and obesity of patients, early mobilisation, and the slippery elastic material. To address this problem, we developed a Safety Sole where waves of silicone are applied to the stocking during manufacture. The result is a “grippy” sole which provides safe traction without affecting the compression characteristics. GCS stockings put patient safety first.

Antimicrobial Fabric Patients can sustain small skin tears and abrasions in the course of their hospitalisation and recovery. To ward off troublesome infections, the GCS stockings are constructed with antimicrobial fabric. The antimicrobial activity has been tested to kill more than 99.999% of Staph. Aureus, and lasts up to 30 washes.

Colour Code System The GCS Range is brightly colour coded for easy identification. The colour code starts on the tape measure, then you follow the colour to the box, it’s on the individual packets, and even on the toe of every stocking. Rest assured that the days of fumbling around reading tiny little codes while juggling several packets are well and truly over.

Full Range of Sizes – Including ‘Singles’ and ‘Short’

Patients come in many different shapes and sizes. Therefore the GCS stockings do, as well. In fact, there are more than 50 different types – just use your GCS tape measure and follow the colour code. We also have the most popular knee high stockings available in short lengths (for your very short patients) and in singles packs – for when you only need one stocking eg due to postoperative oedema or soiling. Both of these are brand new and unique to the GCS range.

Applicator Bag Compression stockings aren’t always easy to put on. Therefore, we designed the packet to double as a stocking applicator. You simply place it over the patients’ foot and slide the stocking over. It makes life easier for you, and is an efficient reuse of the packaging.
